I would like to know what type copier that I can use at home to do Giclee art at home for a hobby?
Giclee prints are actually done on an inkjet printer. The big commercial concerns use a very expensive printer, but you can approximate their results using an Epson printer, archival pigment ink , and a rag paper designed for inkjet printmaking, such as Crane's Museo. Arches also makes an archival inkjet paper. You can buy them at high-end photo shops, or online.
I use archival pigment ink from Inksupply.com and an Epson 1280 wide-format printer. I usually use the Museo paper, but sometimes use the Arches. Those are the two papers I have found make the nicest prints.
I use a combination of Photoshop and Painter software programs to create the prints on my computer, then print them using the method above.
