can u give me some unique ideas how to draw fantasy pictures or creative paintings?
i was thinking of making a real nice painting to give it to my cuzin but i
cant think what to draw....i luv drawing fantasy pictures...but i jst dunno how to bring my imagination on a piece of paper..any ideas how to do that?? or how to draw beautiful paintings??
Hm-mm. This sounds like a case of ARTIST BLOCK!! The worst type of block from the writing to the cooking to anything really. Because it's the hardest to overcome. BUT!, there are and forever be tips to overcome said block.
For the ARTIST BLOCK, I usually do quick drawings (NOT sketches. Sketches are almost too quick. For this you need to slow down and study everything; you just don't have to put everything on your paper or canvas.) These drawings are of my hand, one of my pets, food (not fruit though) and my family.
Another way is to sketch. Nothing but sketch. I wouldn't waste all of your paper though, so if you have a tablet it would be better to do this on that instead. Just do random things you think of (being a teenager, this is easy for me). Anything! Like.... straws-berries dipped into banana cream pie mix. Do rough layouts of the body figure that you might what to do. This is all getting your brain ready for drawing or painting. If you have paint you don't use anymore, grab a scrap piece of paper or a block of wood and paint again! You need to get your creativity flowing.
Now that we've gotten the ARIST BLOCK done and over with, we need to think of ideas to do for this painting. I would first take paper and sketch out your idea. Maybe a fairy floating over the lake at night the resembles your cousin? Once you have that (if you are using a canvas) do a neater LIGHTER virsion of the sketch on the canvas with your pencil. This involves putting a background in now as well (after it's been planned out) Then you can paint. I would also choose a color scheme before hand.
And, even though this is a long post, it is the fastest way I know possible to get the ARTIST BLOCK over with and get straight to painting.
